A Technical Data Package (TDP) contains all the documentation needed to repeat the manufacture of a part at a later time, either by the same manufacturer or another vendor. Technical Data Packages are captured in a digital data environment. SIS can manage the processes and revisions to each document and provides the solution to allow searches for parts or document at a later time. Parts can easily be retrieved to capture a visual representation of where the part is, at any given time, in the workflow process. When located, the TDP can be used to manufacture the next production part or manage a new design change to the part. The TDP can also be downloaded and sent to a vendor to assist them in manufacturing the part without any duplication of effort. |
