*Robotics News Update*

Written By: CDR Mike "Scally" Scavone

March saw the Robotics Team immersed in Swarm II Performance Testing (SPT) for the

upcoming demonstrations at the end of the Summer. Simulation and on-water testing

time took up a great deal of the schedule as the Team dealt with weather, software and

hardware issues. The schedule was written and re-written several times as the Team

adapted to ever changing conditions. Improvements in all the systems were accomplished,

and the software continues to be refined to meet all the requirements for Phase II and beyond.

The Sealancet radio system was also tested during the at-sea periods, and will continue to

be tested in conjunction with an improved Rajant radio system in the upcoming weeks.

The final plan for the Swarm III demonstration was scrubbed, refined, and put into a

"semi-finalized" version in preparation for a February 2017 "go" date. In addition, after a

long and thorough investigation, the Operating Area for the September Phase II

demonstration was finalized, with the Team deciding to remain in the Chesapeake Bay area.

The final, smooth demonstration plan for the August demonstration was also completed.

SIS recently became a CAMWorks Re seller

About CAMWorks

CAMWorks, a parametric, solids-based CNC programming software system,

brings in a revolutionary way to help machinists around

the world program smarter and machine faster.

 Solid Edge

CAMWorks leverages synchronous technology directly inside

of the Solid Edge interface. This allows for intuitive programming and machining.

Your Competition's Best Kept Secret for Solid Edge Data & Processes Webinar

Do you have a data management platform where your team and suppliers can collaborate,

allowing you agile design changes while maintaining your release deadlines? It's never been easier

than right now to find, re-use and share accurate CAD data. Make smarter decisions and build better

products while eliminating delays in your design processes. Find out how to leverage product data

management in your product lifecycle management environment and how it can eliminate costly errors

and delays. In a half hour we'll cover essential PDM capabilities that streamline your design release

process and become your competitive advantage.

Join Us April 13, 2016 @ 1PM Eastern for this amazing webinar hosted by Siemens PLM.

We'll cover these key benefits and more:

  • Seamless sharing of data from multiple sources
  • Elimination of rework caused by confusion about product status
  • Easy to find and reuse design data - stop recreating it
  • Lightweight, accurate 3-D visualization and collaboration
  • On-time project completion without the last minute scramble to get things done

We'll also cover some PDM implementation

strategies to help you get up and running quickly and cost-effectively, including using the Cloud for

a secure, scalable, agile platform that increases productivity. In addition, we'll show an example

of how Solid Edge integrates seamlessly with
