New and enhanced publishing tools allow users to import and export Solid Edge section views, publish vector graphics for PDF documents, define individual sizing for illustrations and produce images or vectors with transparent backgrounds
Electrical Design
Electromechanical design as it’s meant to be, a seamless integration of electronic computer-aided design (ECAD) and mechanical computer-aided design (MCAD).
Updating your Solid Edge license for Solid Edge 2020
Note: Solid Edge 2020 license files are not downward compatible. If you are using an older version, you will want to keep using your current license file. Customers may continue using their pre-v220 licenses in parallel during the migration to v220.

Dongle licenses – Old server dongles do not need to be returned.

Host ID/Mac Address licenses will see a change in part numbers since both types of licensing now run using the Common Licensing Tool to obtain a CID.

Solid Edge Wire & Harness Road Show- Disputanta, VA @CCAM
We had a great time on June 19th at the Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CCAM) presenting Solid Edge Wire & Harness Road Show. SIS would like to thank CCAM for hosting the Solid Edge event and providing tours of the facility.  We hope to have future events at CCAM and we always enjoy seeing our clients growing their product knowledge of the Siemens PLM technology.

Solid Edge Technical Day- Hubbell Lighting
June 20, 2019 was a beautiful day for the Solid Edge Technical Day. Overall we got a lot of positive remarks about the integration of Mentor Graphics products into the Solid Edge suites and on all the new enhancements of Solid Edge 2020. Our presenters were Kevin Grayson of Siemens, Cecil Pruitt of SIS and Travis Suttles of Hubbell Lighting, and we would like to thank Travis & Kevin for their help with the event.

The presentation by Kevin Grayson, of Siemens, for the new improved Solid Edge Electrical Routing module got the most interest from the audience as all the Mechanical Engineers thought that they could use this new module for better product design. Lots of questions from a very attentive audience both in the morning and afternoon sessions.

Thank you Hubbell Lighting for having us at your facility to host Solid Edge Technical Day.
